Fuel efficiency
Fuel efficiency is important to reduce both CO2 emissions and the cost of driving. The difference between each category means a reduction or increase in fuel consumption of 3-4%.Wet grip/Breaking performance
Wet grip is a critical safety feature. Tyres are rated A - E; A being the shortest braking distances in the wet. The difference in category can mean an extra car length (3-6 meters) on the stopping distance.Noise emission/Exterior noise
There are three ratings for noise: A, B and C.A produces the least external noise levels, whilst C produces the highest.
Nokian Tyres iLine - drives quietly and safely in all summer weather. It offers first-class fuel efficiency and therefore a more environmentally friendly ride for small and medium-sized family cars. The tire remains stable and reliable even in extreme conditions. The unique Venturi grooves protect against aquaplaning, and the pine oil added to the rubber compound increases the tire's durability. Venturi grooves: Specially shaped grooves located between individual tread blocks on the shoulders accelerate water drainage. The water flow speed increases in the narrowed area, effectively removing water from the contact area. The new full silica rubber compound ensures grip on wet surfaces and low rolling resistance at all temperatures. The added pine oil increases resistance to wear. Quiet pattern with a silent effect. Half-oval depressions in the walls of the transverse ribs, resembling the profile of a golf ball, enhance driving comfort. This innovation reduces both internal and external vehicle noise, reduces air resistance, and cools the tire surface, thereby increasing its durability against wear.
