Fuel efficiency
Fuel efficiency is important to reduce both CO2 emissions and the cost of driving. The difference between each category means a reduction or increase in fuel consumption of 3-4%.Wet grip/Breaking performance
Wet grip is a critical safety feature. Tyres are rated A - E; A being the shortest braking distances in the wet. The difference in category can mean an extra car length (3-6 meters) on the stopping distance.Noise emission/Exterior noise
There are three ratings for noise: A, B and C.A produces the least external noise levels, whilst C produces the highest.
ContiSportContact 3 Even better sports driving experience Description The ContiSportContact 3 tire is the next generation of the popular ContiSportContact tires. Compared to its predecessor, the braking distance on both dry and wet roads has been reduced by an additional 5%, resistance to aquaplaning has been improved by an excellent 6%, and rolling resistance has been reduced by 5%. The innovated asymmetric tread pattern with 3D grooves has been designed to improve safety during sudden and aggressive steering maneuvers. The tread bands deform only minimally, so the contact area with the road remains constant even when cornering at high speeds. Features - Asymmetric tread pattern for excellent directional stability - Unique shape of tread grooves for better water drainage and higher resistance to aquaplaning - New shape of tread circumferential bands for exceptional response to driving maneuvers.
